The Chautauqua County Humane Society will present Pet Expo 2026, made possible through the support of presenting sponsors Supportive Divorce Solutions and Happy Hounds Hotel & Day Spa.
Why is the Humane Society putting the event on for a second year? The answer is simple, according to CCHS officials – because Pet Expo 2025 proved that this region is ready and eager to unite around the wellbeing of animals. Last year, pets were adopted right from the floor of the Northwest Arena, families made meaningful connections, and shelters and rescues formed relationships to strengthen the network of care for animals across Chautauqua County and beyond.
"Last year just felt good. You could see people relaxing, talking, learning from each other, and genuinely rooting for every animal in the building. It reminded us why these partnerships matter," said Amanda Sublett, CCHS outreach and education coordinator.
The expo also gave the public a chance to meet the people behind the lifesaving work happening every day. Guests supported both the Humane Society and every organization present. That spirit of unity is a major reason the event is returning.
"It wasn't just about adoptions," Sublett says. "It was about people realizing how many hands are involved in helping animals and wanting to be part of that bigger picture."
And on a very human level, Pet Expo 2025 was simply fun, according to CCHS officials. Vendors, rescue partners, and guests were already talking about "next year" before they even left the building. This year's expo has even sparked playful early chatter about Pet Expo '27, including a nod from the returning North PA Ghostbusters, though CCHS is staying focused on the present.
"When folks are asking about the next expo before this one even starts," Sublett adds, "that tells us we're building something people really enjoy."
