Southwestern welcomes new teachers

The Southwestern Central School District recently welcomed new staff during new teacher orientation ahead of the 2026-2027 school year. During the two-day orientation, new staff met their mentors, received their school devices, reviewed district data and heard from students. Among those pictured are new teachers and staff members Olivia Sferra, school psychology intern at Southwestern Middle School; Allison Romain, elementary music teacher; • Gretchen Lindell, middle school business teacher; Corinne Covert, middle school agriculture and technology teacher; Tina Couchenour, high school teaching assistant for AEP; Stephanie Baker, high school art teacher; Emily Phelps, high school special education teacher; Drew Keppel, middle school physical education and health teacher; Emma Telesco, fifth grade teacher; Rebecca Allen, high school chemistry teacher; and Andy Lindell, elementary school special education teacher.
