A former cathode ray tube recycling company in the northern end of the county has been sold.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from May 18-21. The county does not provide transaction information, but real estate documents are available for review at the clerk's office.

During this time period, County Cork Air, LLC sold 3213 Middle Road, Sheridan to Bruce Ford for $300,000. This was the location of Nulife Glass.

The company closed in 2017. It built its own furnace to recycle CRT glass, which is found in older televisions and computer monitors. The company, which was founded in England, struggled to meet regulatory requirements

Also during this time, MKAAJ, LLC sold 436 Central Ave., Dunkirk to Maricruz Vazquez Maldonado for $140,000.
