The Chautauqua County Humane Society is gearing up for one of its most vibrant, family-friendly events of the year as CCHS Pet Expo 2026 returns with new attractions, returning favorites, and plenty of opportunities for both two-and-four-legged guests to join the fun.
This year's expo shines a special spotlight on two engaging features designed to spark creativity and curiosity across all ages.
Young artists are invited to step into the spotlight through the CCHS T-Shirt Design Challenge, presented by Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union. Students and youth creators from across the region can submit artwork that celebrates pets, compassion, and community. Finalists will have their designs displayed at the expo, where attendees can vote for their favorites. The winning design will be printed on the official Pet Expo '26 T shirt, giving one young artist the chance to leave a lasting mark on one of the county's most beloved events. For families who love hands-on learning, Grossology, presented by Chautauqua Chemicals Company and Moonbrook Veterinary Hospital, promises a dive into the icky, sticky, and wonderfully weird science behind animals. Kids can explore interactive stations that make biology fun, approachable, and laugh out loud memorable. It is the kind of educational play that keeps families talking long after the event ends and gives parents plenty of photo worthy moments.
Alongside these features, Pet Expo '26 will offer adoptable animals, vendor booths, demonstrations, treats, and activities designed to welcome every member of the family, including dogs who love a good outing and cats who enjoy stroller rides or backpack adventures.
