A two-vehicle accident on Route 430 at 3:40 p.m. Thursday killed a 23-year-old Meadville man and a 51-year-old Massena, N.Y., man.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, North Lake Fire Department, Sherman Fire Department, and Chautauqua County EMS responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident on Route 430 in the town of Chautauqua. Investigation found that a vehicle driven east by Alexander D. Morelli, 23, of Meadville, Pa., failed to keep right, crossed over the double solid center line and struck a vehicle being driven west by Doug A. Griffith, 51, of Massena, N.Y. Both men died on scene as a result of the accident.
Social media photos indicated one vehicle involved was escorting a oversized load trailer. The other was a sedan.
