Having borrowed Mr. Peabody's Way Back Machine for this week's VFTB, I thought it might be kind of nice to take another trip back to those Saturday mornings (by rule in our house, after our assigned chores were completed), and recall some of the animated adventures of some of our favorite Cartoon characters. (A similar narrative on this subject was done years ago, but after recently seeing a series of half-hour programs on the most remembered, pick a genre, i.e. music, sitcoms, dramas, etc., I thought a revisitation to animation would be a nice break from a series of paragraphs.)
As I thought about some of the cartoon shows of my generation, and our children's generation, and grandchildren's too, it struck me, on my latest stroll down Nostalgia Lane, that many of the main animated characters had a companion, a partner, a best friend, a predator, a lawman, or a group who shared those weekly thirty minutes of fun, minus the three or four minutes of Cereal, Flavored Drinks, and/or Candy Commercials that prompted our us to beg our moms to buy for us the next time she went grocery shopping. All that gave me a thought, and an idea.
It's been a while since we got out pencils and paper and tested our power of recall as to some of those fun characters we visited most Saturday mornings (a couple also finding themselves in Prime Time) and try to remember who were some of the characters and/or members of their pack, their circle of friends, or their partners in crime or mischief.
