Two separate collective bargaining agreements are up for approval by city council at tonight's voting session.
The first agreement is between the city and the Jamestown City Administrative Association Bargaining Unit, which represents employees in the Department of Public Works, Assessor's Office and Comptroller's Office. The agreement will be for the period of January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2029.
The agenda for tonight's meeting adds that the city and the JCAA Unit have successfully concluded labor negotiations and reached an agreement on the terms of a new collective bargaining agreement.
The second collective bargaining agreement is between the city and the Jamestown Urban Renewal Agency, who have also concluded labor negotiations and reached an agreement on the terms of a new collective bargaining agreement. The JURA bargaining unit represents employees in the Department of Development, and this agreement will also span the period of January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2029.
Other items of business for approval at tonight's meeting include trainings, SWAT cold weather gear and more. The city council voting session begins at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the city council chambers on the second floor of city hall.
