Jamestown native turns 100 today

Jamestown native Dorothy Jean Fuller Lundeen and The Flor Hotel have something in common – they're both turning 100 this year.
Lundeen's birthday is today. Her son, Daniel Lundeen said she was born Dorothy Jean Fuller on July 31, 1926, at WCA Hospital. She lived in Stillwater on a dairy farm with her parents John W. and Lily Fuller. On May 4, 1946, Dorothy Jean Fuller Lundeen married Donald W. Lundeen, and celebrated 70 years of marriage until his death December 2, 2016.
The pair lived on Manchester Road in Jamestown and raised three children there: Drucilla, Danny, and DeEtte, before moving to Tampa, Fla. in 1962. Dorothy currently lives in Zephyrhills, Fla. She also worked in Tampa at HRS for 20 years before retirement.
"Dorothy is spending her actual birthday, Friday, with her three children and their spouses at The Flor Hotel which houses The Dan restaurant," Daniel Lundeen said. "Dorothy has fond memories of dining there over the years."
The old Floridian Hotel was built in 1926, so Lundeen noted it is celebrating 100 years as well.
"On Saturday, family and friends are gathering at her granddaughter's house for the big celebration," Lundeen said. "Dorothy has spent most of her life active with family, friends, and the First Methodist Church of Zephyrhills where she is active in Project Others."
