Area police reports
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Austin J. Seward, 32, was charged June 30 with driving with ability impaired by drugs, and making an improper turn. According to police, at about 12:30 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on the south side. Through investigation, it was determined that the vehicle’s operator, Seward, was operating the vehicle while allegedly impaired by drugs. He was placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.
– Noah M. Ingrao, 20, was charged June 30 with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. According to police, at about 7:01 a.m., officers responded to the area of Bowen and Dover streets for a welfare check involving an unresponsive male seated behind the wheel of a vehicle. Following an investigation, officers determined that Ingrao had been operating the vehicle while in an alleged intoxicated condition. Officers, police said, discovered that he was in alleged possession of an illegal handgun. He was placed into custody without incident, and taken to the city jail. He will be in city court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
– James C. Marillo, 69, of Niagara Falls, was charged June 25 with DWI, and speeding. According to officials, at about 12:33 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 5 and Route 20 in the town of Hanover. The operator was identified as Marillo, and further investigation found Marillo allegedly to be driving while intoxicated. He will be in Hanover Town Court later.
WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Kyle S. Shaw, 35, of Westfield, was charged June 23 with second-degree menacing. According to police, at about 10:47 a.m., officers responded to the Holiday Thruway Motel, 223 N. Portage St., for a report of a past incident involving an individual allegedly brandishing a knife. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a resident of a motel, who reported that another motel guest, identified as Shaw, allegedly displayed a knife while walking past the individual, and made a stabbing motion toward the individual while the individual’s back was turned. When officers arrived, police said, Shaw was no longer on scene, but was located a short distance from the motel. Shaw was placed into custody without incident, and will be in Westfield Town Court later.
– Brandin J. Bolinger, 34, of Westfield, was charged June 29 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, at about 10:48 a.m., officers responded to 6904 Sherman Westfield Road for a report of an unknown person sleeping on the property inside an abandoned vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located and identified Bolinger, who was found unconscious inside the vehicle with an alleged quantity of drugs in plain view on his lap, police said. Bolinger was placed into custody at the scene, and the substance was later tested and confirmed to be positive for fentanyl. Bolinger was placed into custody, and later released. He will be in town court later.
