The building of a former manufacturing company in the southern end of the county that made heating and cooling equipment has been sold.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from April 14-17. The county does not provide transaction information, but real estate documents are available for review at the clerk’s office.

During this time period, Ekega LLC sold 1984 Allen St. Ext., Ellicott to ALW Properties of Falconer NY, LLC for $250,000.

That was the location of EMC FinTech, a manufacturing company that designed and serviced high-precision roll die tooling for radiators, condensers, computer systems and other heating and cooling equipment.

The business was honored in 2019 by George Borrello when he was county executive.

The building now has boarded up windows and EMC FinTech’s website is no longer functioning.

Also during this time, Refresco Beverages U.S. Inc. sold 312 Main St., Dunkirk to Boys and Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County, Inc. for $224,000.

The Boys and Girls Club previously announced they were planning on making that address their permanent home.

The building is the former Cliffstar Training Center. Prior to that, it was used as a bank.
