An investigation into narcotics activity in the city of Jamestown led to investigators executing a search warrant at 33 Ellicott St. that led to the arrest of one individual.

Narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the city of Jamestown Police Department executed the warrant at 3:25 p.m. Friday. Located in the residence at the time of the search was Anthony L. Jordan. As a result of the search of the residence, investigators seized 81.9 grams of methamphetamine, 7.1 grams of fentanyl, $1,410 and packaging used for the sale and distribution of narcotics.

Jordan was charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Jordan was transported to Jamestown Police Department to be arraigned in the City of Jamestown Court.

Jordan was charged in October by Jamestown police with fourth-degree criminal possession of weapon as well as having an outstanding Jamestown City Court warrant after a traffic stop of a vehicle Jordan was riding in. Police alleged the driver and Jordan were allegedly found to be in possession of plastic knuckles. In New York State, plastic knuckles (along with metal or brass knuckles) are classified as “per se” weapons. This means they are strictly illegal to possess, manufacture, or transport under any circumstances, regardless of intent
