Local eatery Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House will host a visit from America’s Best Restaurants for an on-site visit as part of the ABR Roadshow.

America’s Best Restaurants travels the country spotlighting independent, locally owned restaurants that make a positive impact on their communities. During the visit, the ABR Roadshow team will highlight Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House on camera, featuring an interview with Bryce and Rachael Steffen about the restaurant’s place in the community.

The Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House is a year-round restaurant and hospitality destination in the heart of Bemus Point, just minutes from Chautauqua Lake. Since taking ownership in 2017, the Steffens have transformed the property into a destination known for its restaurant, tap house, and public nine-hole golf course, creating an experience that brings together dining, entertainment, and recreation in one welcoming place. The restaurant features house-made food, craft beer, signature cocktails and live music and has become a site for community events.

The business was honored as the 2025 Business of the Year by the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce and was recognized for the award with a proclamation from the Bemus Point Village Board and Mayor Jeffrey Molnar. Molnar said he was thrilled to present the proclamation to further recognize the important contributions from the business to the community. Molnar said the Steffens have been active members within the community, who have welcomed families with a comfortable place to gather or visit since 2017. Molar noted the Steffens show generosity to the community by hosting various events and benefits. As a result of all of the contributions to the village, the Steffens have earned the proclamation, according to Molnar.

The Steffens took on ownership of the organization on Sept. 1, 2017, and reopened the business in May 2018 following the completion of numerous renovations. Both owners have grown up in the nearby area, with Bryce Steffan a Bemus Point native and Rachel Steffan originally from Ellicottville. Bryce Steffan’s father was a frequent visitor of the golf club, having been long remembered due to playing 180 holes in a single day.

“When we bought this property, we saw an opportunity to create more than just a restaurant or a golf course,” said Bryce Steffan. “We wanted to build a place where people could come together, enjoy great food, make memories, and feel at home. Seeing what Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House has become, and the way our community has embraced it, means everything to us. None of it happens without our incredible team, who bring that experience to life every day.”

The restaurant’s America’s Best Restaurants episode will feature several of its more popular dishes, including as fried brussels sprouts, Golf Club Burger, and the burrito bowl with chicken.

America’s Best Restaurants will be on-site at Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House today.

The completed episode will be aired extensively on social media channels later. The premiere date will be announced on the restaurant’s Facebook page and featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website and YouTube channel.
