Eligh DeLeon (1st), Mia DelPozzo (2nd), and S’miya Kingsbury (3rd) placed in the VFW Voice of Democracy contest.
Peyton Joly earned first place at the NYNE Optimist Zone 2 Oratorical Contest.
Ten JHS students attended the Puerto Rican/Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute in Albany.
NYSED Com. Betty A. Rosa visited JHS and met with student leaders. She also toured the aviation program.
C.C. Ring and C.V. Bush were named Apple Distinguished Schools.
Bush Elementary School’s garden earned a “Certified Schoolyard Habitat” designation from the National Wildlife Federation.

JHS’ production of The Pirates of Penzance earned nine Shea’s Wonder Award nominations.
Love School students selected a new “Lion” logo inspired by fourth-grader Amanda Jimenez’s drawing.
Lauren Scharf was named Most Outstanding Director for Les Misérables: School Edition.
Hayden Langford and Rya Giuffre were selected for the NYSSMA Conference All-State Festival.
Langford, Giuffre, Gina Delgado, and Zoey Shimmel performed at the NYSSMA Area All-State Festival.
Jack Nelson, Aristea Theofilactidis, and Melina Singleton were selected for the NYSSMA Junior High Area All-State Festival.
The JHS “100 Years of Music” documentary earned an Award of Excellence from the New York School Public Relations Association.

The JHS Boys Basketball Team won its third-straight Section VI Championship.
JHS football returned to Highmark Stadium for the Section VI title game — the last in the stadium’s history.
Finn Caswell and Wyatt Olmstead qualified for the NYSPHSAA state cross country meet.
Cameron Burgess, Angel Martinez, Beckett Lumia, Tyler Tellez, and Jorge Rivera Jr. qualified for the NYSPHSAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Addison Cappalino qualified for the NYSPHSAA Bowling Championships.
Aaeden Howard qualified for the NYSPHSAA Wrestling Championships.
Giving Back & Charging Forward

JHS students raised $6,100 for Kids & Sibs Summer Camp through the Battle of the Classes.
JHS student leaders attended the first-ever C.H.A.R.G.E. Leadership Retreat at Camp Mission Meadows.
JHS Penny Wars raised $5,620.26 for the family of Jamie Schnars.
Lincoln Elementary raised $10,151 dollars for the Kids Heart Challenge.
