The village’s Easter Egg Hunt will be returning once again, hosted thanks to the collaborative efforts of numerous local organizations, and will give the children of the area the chance to enjoy some holiday fun and games.
This year’s event is being coordinated largely by the Bemus Point Business Association, and will be taking place at the Bemus Point Golf Club and Tap House. The event will be held on April 4, with the hunt officially kicking off at 10:30 a.m. The event would not be possible without the help from donors including the village of Bemus Point, Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House, and M&T Bank. More than 3,000 eggs will be hidden around the golf course, with candy and goodies for the kids inside of each one. Children can also anticipate a visit from the Easter Bunny himself during the event.
Multiple hunts will be occurring, with each designated to a certain age range to ensure that the competition is as fair as possible for those involved. The first age range will contain any kids in pre-K or under, the second housing kids in kindergarten or first grade, the third holding the kids in second and third grade, and the last for kids in fourth and fifth grade.
Currently, coordinators are still looking for additional help from community members that wish to get involved. Organizers welcome any donation of prize baskets or candy from around the community, both of which can be delivered to the tap house. Additionally, volunteers are still needed for the event. Anybody interested in offering some volunteer help can sign up on the Visit Bemus Point Facebook page. No matter what kind of involvement somebody has, this day is a great way to better connect the community as the warm weather rolls in once again.
