New RTPI CEO Speaks To Falconer Rotary

Stacey Otte-Demangate, the new CEO of the Roger Tory Peterson Institute, served as the guest speaker at a recent meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Falconer.
The event took place at the War Veterans Recreation Inc. in Fluvanna.
During her presentation, Otte-Demangate discussed Roger Tory Peterson’s contributions to ornithology, including his pivotal role in classifying bird species and the creation of the renowned Peterson Guide. She highlighted how these achievements have shaped modern bird watching and conservation efforts.
Otte-Demangate also shared details about upcoming events at RTPI. She announced the opening of the exhibition, Art That Matters to the Planet: Beyond Beauty, scheduled for March 27. Additionally, she invited attendees to the 50th annual Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour, which will be held at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts in Jamestown on April 24 and 25.
The Roger Tory Peterson Institute is dedicated to advancing nature education and conservation.
