A former drug store building in Mayville has a new owner.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from Jan. 2-13. The county does not provide this information but is available by reviewing real estate documents at the clerk’s office.

During this time period, AJC Properties, LLC sold 40-42 S. Erie St. to GL Olson Real Estate, LLC for $150,000.

This was the location of Rite Aid. In June the Mayville branch was closed, along with a number of branches throughout Western New York. Eventually Rite Aid closed all of its stores throughout the United States.

A new business does not appear to be operating out of it at this time.

From Jan. 2-13, there were three sales that were $300,00 or higher. They are as follows:

– 4547 Sherman-Westfield Road, Westfield and three other nearby parcels sold for $435,000.

– 4052 Bemus Creek Road, Ellery sold for $400,000.

– 67 Warwick Road, Ellicott sold for $379,965.

– 40 North Ralph Ave., Falconer sold for $320,000.
