CLYMER — Since about January, the town of Clymer has been in search of a new Little League Administrator. With a new person in that position now, preparations are underway for the upcoming season as the seasons move slowly towards spring.

Jenness Legters was officially announced by the town to have taken over the position at the February town board meeting, and has been getting to work since then. At the March meeting, Deputy Town Supervisor Todd Kolstee said some activity has been ongoing already for the season.

“It sounds like this may be a transition year,” Kolstee said. “It’s been CSP Little League for a couple of years now, but they’re trying to figure out how to get organized to get that set up and have it structured correctly.”

For this upcoming season he said he believes there will still be three teams from each individual community. Clymer will have three teams with their kids, and then Panama and Sherman will each have three as well, Kolstee said.

“And that might be the plan moving forward,” Kolstee said. “They are meeting behind the scenes and trying to figure out their plan of attack moving forward.”

According to the Town of Clymer – Recreation Facebook page sign ups for this season of Little League close on March 22. The town is also still in need of coaches and assistant coaches. For more information or to register visit leagues.bluesombrero.com/csplittleleague.
