Reg Lenna Center For The Arts To Screen Films

The Academy Award Best Animated feature, Little Amélie or The Character of Rain will be screened Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m. at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts as a Winter Break family matinee. The world is a perplexing, peaceful mystery to Amélie until a miraculous encounter with chocolate ignites her wild sense of curiosity. As she develops a deep attachment to her family’s housekeeper, Nishio-san, Amélie discovers the wonders of nature as well as the emotional truths hidden beneath the surface of her family’s idyllic life as foreigners in post-war Japan. Little Amélie is rated PG and is 78 minutes long. The center will also screen Academy Award Best Actress nominee Rose Byrne in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You (Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m.) With her life crashing down around her, Linda (Byrne) attempts to navigate her child’s mysterious illness, her absent husband, a missing person, and an increasingly hostile relationship with her therapist. If I Had Legs I’d Kick You is rated R and is 113 minutes long.

Brad Pitt stars in the Best Picture nominee F1 (Friday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m.) Racing legend Sonny Hayes is coaxed into leading a struggling Formula 1® team-and mentoring a young hotshot driver-while chasing one last chance at redemption. The film is nominated for 4 Academy Awards. F1 is rated PG-13 and is 155 minutes long. Family showings are $7 in-person at the box office and $9 online and by phone. Special engagements are priced differently. The theater and box office at The Reg are located at 116 E.
