Winterfest Medallion Hunt Clues 1 and 2

MAYVILLE – Organizers of the 2026 Mayville Winterfest event are once again holding a medallion hunt. Clues will run at the top of the Briefly column in The Post-Journal until the medallion is found. FIRST CLUE:

There is a medallion of old,

That is hidden when outside is cold,

And finding this piece

Before events cease

The reward is so worth it we’re told

SECOND CLUE:

The lake is the focus this year

Unobstructed from view to be clear

Abandon each place

The lake does not face

If you’re lucky you might see a deer!

South, Center Sewer Districts Board To Meet Thursday

NORTH HARMONY – The Administrative Board of the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet at noon Thursday, Feb. 5, in the North Harmony town administrative building conference room, 5350 Stow Road, Ashville. The public is welcome to attend.

Frewsburg School Board To Meet Thursday

FREWSBURG – The Frewsburg Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 6 p.m. in the middle-high school library. The board is expected to move into executive session to discuss matters relating to the employment histories of a particular person or persons and matters related to the hiring of a new Superintendent of Schools. There will be no action taken after executive session. The public is welcome to attend.
