A former Ellery restaurant that was sold earlier this year has again changed hands.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from Oct. 20-24.

During this time period, 5030 Rt. 430 Ellery was sold to Dobmeier Burns, LLC for $200,000. At one time a sign on the property called it the “Hot Fish Shop.” Another website previously listed it as “Kadan’s Restaurant.”

Jonathan Penhollow purchased the property in August before selling it about 10 weeks later to Dobmeier Burns, LLC. In an email, the new owners said they are “playing with a lot of ideas at the moment” for the property, adding that in the future it could be an event venue.

The largest sale during this time period was of two parcels on Lincoln Road and one parcel on the corner of Lincoln Road and Main Street, Bemus Point which were sold for $2,450,000. This appears to be the location of the Historic 1921 ‘The Woods’ Lakefront Estate.

Including the sale previously mentioned, from Oct. 20-24, there were 13 sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:

– 85 Main St., Bemus Point, two additional parcels on Main Street, and three parcels on Lincoln Drive, Bemus Point were sold for $830,000.

– 3909 S. Nesmith Ave., Ellery was sold for $400,000.

– Three parcels on Route 20, Portland and one parcel on East Forest Avenue, Portland were sold for $385,600.

– 24 Castile Drive, Fredonia sold for $349,000.

– 32 Watson Ave., Westfield sold for $325,000.

– 8800 Harmon Hill Road, Pomfret was sold for $315,000.

– Packard Estates Condominium Unit No. III-3 and Garage Unit No. G-21 was sold for $303,000.

– 2089 S. Maple Ave., Ashville, town of North Harmony, was sold for $300,000.

– 222 Seymour St., Fredonia was sold for $270,000.

– 3035 Rt. 394, North Harmony was sold for $270,000.

– 3444 Fluvanna-Townline Road, Ellicott was sold for $265,000.

– 12377 Pennsylvania Ave., Sheridan was sold for $250,000.
