Sales Include Former CIty Rite Aid
811 N. Main St., Jamestown was sold in October for $850,000. In 2022, when Rite Aid was operating out of that location, it was purchased for nearly $3 million.
A former drug store building has been sold at less than a third of its value three years ago.
The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the sales from Oct. 1-6.
During this time period, OFP Wagradol NY, LLC sold 811 Main St., Jamestown to Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union for $850,000.
This is the former Rite Aid building.
In September, Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union Chief Executive Officer John Felton told The Post-Journal that they were purchasing the former Rite Aid building.
The CEO added that the new building will be a full-service branch with office space for a few departments, and 20 employees in the back office.
“We will also have a community conference room available to the public, much like the community room located in Lakewood, our corporate office,” Felton said. “The Jamestown community room will be designed to accommodate 20 to 25 people.”
Felton noted that a September 2026 opening date is projected.
The building had been worth a lot more just three years ago.
In April, 2022 OFP Wagradol NY, LLP purchased the property from Orion Development RA XXXI, LLC for $2,948,763.
