LAKEWOOD – On Saturday, Dec. 6, Be More Fitness will host its annual Cold Plunge at Lakewood Beach, with this year’s event benefiting the Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys and Girls Club of Jamestown.

All proceeds from participation fees will be donated directly to the organization.

Participants are invited to arrive anytime after 9:40 a.m., with the plunge kicking off promptly at 10 a.m. In addition, the event will collect lightly used or new jackets to support Community Helping Hands, with donations accepted until noon.

Event coordinator Bradley Barmore says the Cold Plunge remains one of his favorite events of the year because of the timing and the spirit it brings out in the community.

“In a season where thae weather starts to shift and temperatures drop, it’s important that we band together to help those in need,” Barmore said. “This event always shows how selfless our community is when it comes to togetherness and giving back.”

All participants will receive a complimentary slice of pizza, courtesy of Barmore in celebration of his 38th birthday.
