A former state police building in the northern end of the county has changed ownership.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from Aug. 25-29.

During this time period, Rotunda Properties, LLC sold 10273 Rt. 60, Pomfret to RSG Landholdings, LLC for $500,000.

For many years that was the location of the New York State Police’s Fredonia barracks. A new modern barracks was built at 1081 Main St., Dunkirk. A grand opening took place on Sept. 30, 2023.

In a separate sale, nine primarily vacant parcels on Rt. 60, Stockton, two of which are in the village of Cassadaga, and one parcel in Charlotte were sold to Scarlet Holdings, LLC for $1.5 million.

The two parcels in the village of Cassadaga total 11 acres, the seven parcels in the town of Stockton total 637 acres, and the parcel in Charlotte is 12 acres. Nine of the 10 parcels were from the same seller.

Including the previous sales mentioned, there were nine sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:

– 7644 East Lake Road, Westfield was sold for $730,000.

– 26 Loomis Bay Road, Busti was sold for $710,000.

– 2884 Bentley Ave., Ellicott was sold for $499,000.

– 62 Loomis Bay Road, North Harmony was sold for $434,000.

– Condominium Unit No. A-6, Chautauqua Lake Estates, Chautauqua was sold for $297,000.

– 66 Loomis Bay Road, North Harmony was sold for $270,857.

– 235 Hunt Road, Ellicott was sold for $255,000.

Overall, from Aug. 25-29, there were 97 transactions. The full list of sales higher than $1 is as follows:
