A liquor store business in Mayville appears to have purchased the building it operates out of.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from Sept. 16-22.

During this time period, Chautauqua Inns, LTD sold 17 S. Erie St., Mayville to Chautauqua Retail Liquors, Inc. for $125,000. This is the location of Chautauqua Liquor & Wine.

Since 2023, Chautauqua Inns, LTD has sold a number of commercial properties in Mayville including: 19 and 21 S. Erie St.; 186 and 188 S. Erie St.; 28 S. Erie St.; 11 S. Erie St.; 43 and 51 S. Erie St.; and 15 Water St. Those are current or former storefront businesses and/or restaurants.

There were two sales during this time period that were seven figures.

7 Sunset Ave., Lakewood was sold for $1.1 million. It is described as a 4 bedroom, three bath, 3,478 square feet private residence.

5024 and 5028 Katawka Road, Chautauqua town were sold together for $1,795,000. According to the county GIS page, one address is a four-bedroom private residence, while the other is described as a one-bedroom cottage.

Including the sales previously mentioned, from Sept. 16-22 there were 10 sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:

– 2149 Rt. 39, Sheridan sold for $380,000.

– 2411 Lakeside Drive, Ashville sold for $320,000.

– 8900 Brownell Road, Clymer sold for $313,000.

– An 80-acre parcel on Swanson Road, Charlotte sold for $284,900.

– Condominium Unit No. J-8, Chautauqua Lake Estates, Chautauqua town sold for $275,000.

– 5417 Rt. 5, Portland sold for $270,000.

– 7789 Mile Strip Road, Cherry Creek sold for $250,000.
