The Salvation Army of Chautauqua County has distributed 600 new winter coats to children in need through its annual Bundle Them Up Program.

The initiative, made possible through the support from the All for Amy Foundation, Robert Van Every and the Allen Park Women’s Club, ensures that local children stay warm this winter.

Thanks to a partnership with Operation Warm’s Virtual Coat Closet program, supported by Subaru, The Salvation Army was able to purchase high-quality children’s coats (sizes 2T to 18) at a reduced cost of $3 per coat. The coats, available in boys, girls, and mixed gender packs, come in assorted colors and single sizes, packaged in boxes of 12.

“We are incredibly grateful to our donors and Operation Warm for making this program possible,” said Major Kim Merchant of the Salvation Army of Chautauqua County. “These coats will provide warmth and comfort to children in our community, helping families during the cold winter months.”

Distribution of the coats is under way and will continue until supplies are exhausted. Families in need are encouraged to contact The Salvation Army of Chautauqua County to learn more about how to receive a coat.
