The 39th annual Milliman family reunion for all descendants of Lewis and Ettie Peters Milliman was held Aug. 9 at the Leon Fire Hall by hosts Brian Weaver and Lynn and Lisa Milliman with 85 family members attending. Grace was given by Marjorie Andrews. Gifts were presented to the following: Youngest: Jason Irwin;Longest married: Charles and Beverly Milliman – 61 years; Most children: Steve Milliman – six; Candy guessing: April Weaver. Families came from Virginia, Oklahoma, and North Dakota. Attendees were entertained by a Chinese auction, sawdust pile with money and hidden treasures, outdoor games and a playground. Dawn Weaver recorded the 2025 minutes,with two deaths and one birth recorded: James H. Milliman, spouse of Lori Milliman, died March 18, 2025; Priscilla J. Milliman,spouse of Harry Milliman, died July 9, 2025; Summer Ann Shevlin, daughter of Abbie (Milliman) and Charlie Shevlin, born April 3, 2025. Next year’s reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, hosted by Leigh Milliman and Mackenzie Evans. The location hasn’t been chosen.
