Panama Rock Hosting Annual Foliage Festival

PANAMA – Panama Rocks will be holding its annual Foliage Festival on Saturday, Oct. 4, and Sunday, Oct. 5.
Festivities will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days and will be free for all of those who attend.
The festival will contain an arts and crafts show along with a farmers market. Between these there will be more than 80 vendors present. Demonstrations of this craftsmanship will occur as well showcasing chainsaw carving with Lisa Barr, blacksmithing with John Stow, glassblowing by Grant Robinson, rocket stoves by Paul Jackino, and quilting presented by the Harmony Historical Society.
The event will be hosting multiple live musical artists as well. Davis and Eng will perform original and traditional music twice per day on both Saturday and Sunday. David and Eng are set to begin the performances at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Another musical performance from Drew & Lena will be occurring on Saturday at 1 p.m. with more musical guests expected to be in attendance according to organizers of the event.
Music will not be the only source of entertainment, as there will be a range of fall activities that are sure to provide hours of entertainment. Ashlee Sprandle will be providing face painting and Plushihut will be providing pumpkin painting and stuffed animal creation for attendees. Present vendors will also be participating in trick-or-treating and horse drawn carriage rides will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., assuming weather is permissible. Costume contests will be held daily. The youth contests, for ages zero to twelve, will occur daily at 2:30 p.m. on the main stage, while the adult contests will take place at 2:45 p.m. and will be for ages 13 and up.

There will be numerous food vendors from around the area present as well.
The scenic portion of Panama Rocks will be in operation at the usual costs of attendance. Coordinators urge people to dress appropriately if planning on hiking during the festival. Street parking will be available for free and field parking will be available for a $5 fee.
