FREWSBURG – Frewsburg Central School Board of Education Members Thursday approved the purchase of two new school buses.
In May, district voters approved the purchase of two 66-passenger diesel-powered buses not to exceed a total cost of $380,000.
The board approved a bond anticipation note, through M&T Bank, in the amount of $345,035,70. According to the district’s budget brochure, the district will receive 90 persent state aid on its bus purchases.
The bus purchases were part of the $23,593,680 budget that was approved by voters in may.
The board also approved the non-instructional appointment of Ashley Devlin.
Devlin will be a 12-month secretary in the district with a pay rate of $21 per hour.
