City Man Charged After Domestic Incident
A Jamestown man faces charges after a domestic incident during which a person was allegedly cut with a pocket knife and another person had gasoline poured on them while holding a child.
Hashaun L. Leeper Sr., 49, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child at 6 p.m. Saturday after officers responded to a domestic incident on the city’s north side. Officers allege Leeper allegedly punched one person in the head during the incident while holding a pocket knife in the same hand used to hit the other individual while also tackling the other person while still holding the knife. According to the police report, the other person allegedly had several cuts and a stab wound. Leeper also allegedly tried to pour gasoline on another person while the person was holding a 1-year-old child.
Leeper was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
