Boil order ties up traffic

Village of Fredonia officials announced Monday morning that turbidity levels in the water system have leveled and that testing is taking place. “While this is a positive development, the boil water order remains in effect until all testing is completed and confirmed safe,” the village said. The earliest the boil-water order can end is on Wednesday if all goes well. Around noon Monday, a round of water distribution at the Fire Department created a major bottleneck on Main Street as eastbound traffic was backed up for a quarter-mile.
