The buildings of two convenience stores in Chautauqua County have a new owner.
The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from April 15-17.
During this time period, Lake County Dairy, Inc. of Naples, Fla. sold 128 E. Main St., Westfield and 116 East Main St., Falconer to Hawley Development Corp. for $430,000.
Both locations are currently operating as Crosby’s and have been for several years.
CSP News, which reports on the Convenience & Petroleum Retailing Industry, reported back in 2010 that Reid Stores Inc. had acquired three Lake County Dairy stores in Westfield, Falconer and Bemus Point/Greenhurst and were rebranding them as Reid’s Crosby’s c-store chain.

In a separate sale, the executor of the Estate of Mendle Johnson sold 25 Main St., Cherry Creek to Timothy Murphy for $95,000. Mendle and his wife Sharon ran their business Mendles Crossroads Grocery for 35 years in Cherry Creek.
The business is listed on line as permanently closed.
The biggest sale during this time period was a private residence, 3290 Cheney Drive, Ellery, which was sold for $2 million.
