Molitor, Borrello Honor C/S/P Football Team

CLYMER – State Sen. George Borrello and Assemblyman Andrew Molitor recently presented the Clymer/Sherman/Panama Wolfpack football team with a joint legislative resolution commending their historic victory clinching the NYSPHSAA Class D state championship.

Molitor and Borrello honored the athletes, coaches and supporters of the team, which was team’s third state title in the past seven years.

The legislators praised the team for their, “hard work, determination, and team spirit, which have inspired our entire community. You’ve shown what can be achieved through perseverance and unity — and we couldn’t be prouder to celebrate this amazing accomplishment with you.”

There were 21 seniors on this year’s team, many of whom have been part of teams that have Friday will went 29-6 over the past three seasons. The team ha six first-team all-state selections this year. Senior quarterback Tate Catanese and senior offensive end Bryce Hinsdale were named the Co-Players of the Year while other first-team selections were seniors Carter Brink, offensive end; Alex Barmore, defensive lineman; Collin Ryan, linebacker; and Dalton Richter, defensive back.
