Falconer Man Charged Firing Gun At Quality Inn
FALCONER – A Falconer man faces several charges after allegedly firing a gun near the Quality Inn in Falconer on June 2.
Robert F. Blake, 56, of Falconer was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree menacing, prohibited use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child at 9:30 p.m. June 2.
Ellicott police officers responded to the Quality Inn in Falconer for a report of a man discharging a firearm. Blake allegedly fired a round from a handgun in an unsafe manner in the vicinity of a business and people. Blake then allegedly made threatening statements to officers at the scene and allegedly refused to comply with verbal commands. After a short time, Blake did finally comply with commands, according to a police report.
Blake was charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. Blake is due to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.
