FALCONER – The village of Falconer conducted some spring cleaning over the weekend.

Community members, leaders and elected officials gathered at the Falconer Fire Department at 9 a.m. and participated in beautification efforts in the area. They wrapped up their work and returned to the fire station by noon for a hot dog cookout courtesy of the Falconer Village Board.

“The village board would like to thank all the sponsors and volunteers of this yearly event,” said Falconer Mayor James Jarosznski.

Jaroszynski noted that the community was encouraged to utilize the dumpsters at the Department of Public Works (DPW) garage for any spring cleaning they did at their homes or property. Additionally, a dumpster for metal recyclable items was available for those looking to dispose of such materials.

“We cleaned up along the Chadakoin River and the village parks; the Fire Department assisted with cleaning some other public areas the night before,” said Nina Gustafson.

Starting at $3.50/week.
