Peak’n Peek Fall Fest To Be Held For 36th Year In Mid-October
CLYMER — The Peak’n Peek’s annual mid-season fall celebration will be returning this year for its 36th time.
The Peak’n Peek Fall Fest continues Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. all four days, at the Peek, 1405 Olde Road. This year’s festival will offer much of the same activities as previous years, such as the craft and vendor fair, kids zone, pumpkin cannon, and more.
Marketing Assistant Zane Thomas said a few things will be slightly different this year, including less rides in the kids zone and more hands-on activities, including an agriculture-based activity and other games. Some of the vendors may be new, as new people sign up every year, and Thomas said something else that is new is having a few animal rescues in attendance. On Oct. 12 there will also be volleyball, and cornhole tournaments.
“It’s a big autumn-themed craft festival so if you are interested in crafts and homemade items you should come check it out,” Thomas said. “We are hoping for good autumn weather, and not rainy autumn weather. We will have our other usual attractions too, including live music, the pumpkin cannon and Frisbee dog show.”
Thomas referred to the Fall Fest as a unique combination of autumn activities, adding that people will also get the chance to see the resort in its fall foliage. He said people should come to meet people with similar interests or who might be selling things that interest them, and that the food and beverage team will also be serving items following the fall theme.
One of the biggest reasons the Peek puts on its Fall Fest every year, Thomas said, is to get people to come out to visit them during the in-between season, when there are no summer or winter activities going on.
“It is a Peak’n Peek staple and we love putting it on,” Thomas said. “We like to get people here in between our seasons and it’s one of our biggest events of the year. We’re very excited to see people, and are hoping for good weather and to get as many people here as possible.”
