A well known wedding venue in Chautauqua County has a new owner.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from June 1-11.

During that time period, Grandview of Ellington, LLC of Ellington sold 1116 West Hill Road, Ellington to Ellington Grandview, LLC of Falconer for $195,000.

The Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a ribbon cutting Aug. 7, on behalf of the new co-owners Deven Payne and Nick Kahanic.

In the media advisory, the Chamber of Commerce notes, “The Ellington Grandview is a beautiful building and property that is available to rent for weddings and any type of party. There is a phenomenal view where you can see parts of Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties. The main focus of the venue is for wedding ceremonies and receptions, however when there is not a wedding party or prom at the Ellington Grandview (it) will be open to the public from time to time.”

Also during that time period, MEC Properties, Inc. of Brooklyn sold 183 East Main St., Fredonia to MEC Properties LLC of Fredonia for $638,000.

The building has multiple tenants in it, including Infinity Dance Venture Forthe Personalized Home Care Services, Eckman Insurance Agency, Beyond Support Network, and Brooks-TLC Laboratory Draw Site. There are signs on the property advertising for individual renters as well as additional commercial space.

Including the sale previously mentioned, there were 10 sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:

— 5145 Shorewood Drive, Dunkirk town sold for $440,000.

— Unit 8280 Canterbury Woods I Condominium, Canterbury Drive, French Creek sold for $400,000.

— 4406 West Lake Road, Willowtree Point, Chautauqua town sold for $376,750.

— 5200 Thornton Road, Ellington sold for $287,000.

— 115 Goose Creek Road, Busti sold for $273,000.

— 1446 Orr St., Busti sold for $270,000.

— 8630 Alder Bottom Road, Sherman sold for $260,000.
