Rotary Club Honors Auction Chairmen

Rotary Treasure Trove Auction Chairmen Tim Edborg, Vince Horrigan and Mike Roberts were honored at the recent Rotary Recognition dinner by Mistress of Ceremonies Marion Beckerink.

Beckerink explained that the club raises money throughout the year to finance projects through its non-profit Rotary Club of Jamestown Community Service Fund. Projects have included the annual golf tournament, taking place on this year on July 15, and for many years its successful annual auction and Fire and Ice Ball. As with many other organizations, the onset of COVID did great damage to organizations fundraising efforts, which affected the projects that clubs such as Rotary could sponsor.

The Rotary Club of Jamestown dedicates its funding to sponsor efforts that are 60% local and 40% international and is always looking for suggestions from its members and the community through its Vision Committee.

Edborg, Horrigan and Roberts spearheaded an auction in May. Most of the club’s 80 members took part in some way to make the auction successful, following the path set by Edborg, Horrigan and Roberts.

Starting at $2.99/week.
