Frewsburg School Board Leadership Stays Same
FREWSBURG – Leadership for the Frewsburg Central School Board of Education is staying the same with the exception of the district’s new superintendent.
Board members recently re-elected Larry Lodestro as president, and Carrie Graham as vice president.
“We, as a board, are looking forward to getting Dr. (Danielle) Cook involved and up-and-running in the district,” Lodestro said.
Cook recently was named the district’s new superintendent. Cook comes to Frewsburg after a stint as superintendent of the Randolph Academy Union Free School District and a principal at Panama Central School. Cook replaced Shelley O’Boyle, who announced her retirement earlier this year after seven years in Frewsburg.
As a graduate of Penn State Behrend in 2010, Cook earned her B.A. in psychology and earned a M.Ed. in Educational Psychology and Ed.S. in School Psychology from Edinboro University.
“Rural schools engage students through meaningful relationships with educators, thus providing a high-quality education,” Cook said. “It always amazes me how involved rural school students are in their communities. It is not uncommon in a rural school to see a kid involved in multiple sports, clubs and activities, music, and community service. They get to do it all while being highly supported by their community. It is an honor and privilege to be able to lead and be a part of a rural school community that continues to provide meaningful experiences for kids,” Cook previously said.
Cook, a native of the Greater Pittsburgh area, lives in Warren, Pa., with her husband and three children.
In May, Lodestro was re-elected to a three-year term, and Michael LeBaron was elected to a three-year term.
