The owners of Brazil Craft Beer and Wine Lounge and Art Cloth & Craft Boutique are joining forces to collectively support the efforts of a local non-profit organization.

Both organizations will be donating 25% of all proceeds earned from their sales on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. to the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy. Labyrinth/Brazil is located on East Fourth Street and the Art Cloth & Craft Boutique is located at 108 E. Third St.

The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 1990 that works to preserve and enhance the quality, scenic beauty and ecological health of the region’s lands and waters. Twan Leenders, Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy ecological restoration manager, has helped the conservancy take the lead on the restoration of 7.8 miles of the Chadakoin River with an eye toward turning the river into a navigable, free flowing and vibrant tourist attraction.

Both Brazil and the Art Cloth Boutique management teams want to support the Chadakoin river restoration.

“As business owners and nature lovers, we wanted to do our small part in raising funds and awareness for this local non-profit that does so much thankless work to preserve and enhance the quality of our beautiful Chautauqua County,” said Lauren Edwards of the Art Cloth & Craft Boutiques in a press release.

Additionally, for the owners of the Labyrinth Press Company it’s all about giving back to the community and getting back to their roots.

“We would do these types of fundraisers before COVID-19, and we had kind of gotten away from them,” said Jeff James, co-owner of Labyrinth Press Company. “It’s nice to get back to our community roots and give back to our community. We look forward to hopefully doing more events like this.”

“I don’t give much, and I normally say, ‘I gave at the office,’ but I’ll make an exception for this one time,” said Juan Sanches-Hernandez, 49, factory worker and resident of Jamestown. “I guess I’ll be going to have a cold cerveza at Brazil. I fish all the time out of the river, and I get to have a beer and support her. I’m down with that.”
