Two commercial properties on Route 5, Dunkirk have new ownership.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate transactions in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the sales from Dec. 11-19.

During that time period, 296 Lake Shore Drive West, LLC of Tonawanda sold 296 Lake Shore Drive West, Dunkirk to RR of WNY, LLC of Dunkirk for $500,000. That is the location of the Point Restaurant/Route 5 Event Center. Previously that was the location of the Moose Club.

Allan Steinberg was listed as the manager of 296 Lake Shore Drive West, LLC. In the last year Steinberg’s companies have sold other properties in the Dunkirk/Fredonia area, including 423-437 Central Ave., Dunkirk, the Colburn Block on Central Avenue, Dunkirk as well as the former Carriage House Warehouse in Fredonia.

In a separate sale, BK Equities, LLC of Westfield sold 3739 Rt. 5, Dunkirk town to Dunkirk Waterfront Dev, LLC of Forestville for $300,000. This is the location of Chadwick Bay Efficiency Apartments.

Also during this time period, Harry and John Kowal sold 736 Central Ave., Dunkirk to 736 Central Avenue, LLC of Dunkirk for $425,000. This is the location of the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. John Kowal previously announced the transfer of the business.

In the southern end of the county, Dimarco Property Management Services, LLC of Lakewood sold 69 E. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood to Black Forest Properties, LLC of Lakewood for $135,000. That is the location of Dimarco Body Sculpting.

Including the sales previously mentioned, from Dec. 11-19, there were 11 sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:
