Nutcracker To Be Performed Saturday, Sunday

The annual production of the Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet's Nutcracker will be held this week-end at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts. Performances are Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.
Seating is reserved and tickets may be purchased through the Reg Lenna Box Office at 716-484-7070 or online at reglenna.com. For in-person purchases the Box Office is open Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m., Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and one hour before the performances.
The Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet will host guest artists Amanda Smith and Anthony Santos from the Dance Theatre of Harlem to perform the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier. Founded by Arthur Mitchell, who was the first African-American principal dancer of New York City Ballet, the company is steeped in the neoclassical style developed by George Balanchine. Through performances, community engagement and arts education, the 18 member company carries forward Dance Theatre of Harlem's message of empowerment through the arts for all.
Also performing in key roles are guest performers Michael Pattison and Rudi Andalora along with CRYB advanced students Annie Johnson, Izzy Balcom, Gracie Watkins, Isabella Wilder, Anya Harvey, Arehlyn Pattison, Yahir McFaline and Charley Marshall. The cast of 60 is rounded out by CRYB and local dance students along with adult community members.
CRYB's Nutcracker Boutique will be available in the lobby before the performance and during intermission offering a large array of ballet themed gifts, Nutcrackers and CRYB apparel.
