Four Charged In Raid Of City Home

Four city residents are facing a host of charges after police raided a home this week.

Taken into custody were 48-year-old Santos Santiago, 51-year-old Anabell Santiago, 40-year-old Hiram Calderon-Donato and 40-year-old Edward Martinez-Pagan.

On Wednesday, members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and county narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at 36 Van Buren St. All four city residents, as well as a child, were located inside.

“As the entry team was clearing the residence, the occupants were scrambling around the apartment, attempting to destroy and hide evidence,” Jamestown police claimed in a news release.

Two detectives at the scene were reportedly treated for possible exposure to fentanyl.

Police reported collecting a fentanyl/water compound, 296 bags of fentanyl, 58 clonazepam pills, scales, packaging materials and $1,531 in cash.

Santos Santiago, Anabell Santiago, Calderon-Donato and Martinez-Pagan were each charged with first-, third- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, criminally using drug paraphernalia, second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

All four were transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment in court.

Starting at $3.50/week.
