Bonfiglio Seeks At-Large Seat On City Council
Seeking a seat on the Jamestown City Council is newcomer Republican Russ Bonfiglio.
Bonfiglio is endorsed by the Republican and Conservative parties for an at-large seat in Tuesday’s election.
The self-proclaimed “newbie” to politics is hoping to earn one of the three at-large seats up for grabs this election cycle.
While new to politics, Bonfiglio is not new to serving. He sits on the Jamestown Area YMCA’s board of directors and the YMCA Housing Authority Board, and is a Boys and Girls Club alumni.
Bonfiglio continues to give his time to the city by volunteering as a Midget Football League coach for 12 years; a Boys and Girls Club soccer coach for several years; and a helping hand at the National Comedy Center.
Additionally, he has been a local basketball official for 16 years and a local football referee for 31 years.
Bonfiglio wishes to see the city not only grow, but to thrive and become a place people want to move to.
“As a lifelong resident of Jamestown, I am invested in this city,” he said. “It’s people, it’s safety and it’s growth.”
Bonfiglio said he knows Jamestown has the potential to be the place where people want to visit again and again and where young people want to call home. “My priorities are to keep Jamestown progressing and help create a community that is welcoming, safe and exciting,” he said.
