FORESTVILLE — After a severe fire ravaged the Clubhouse and parts of the Pro Shop at Forestville’s Tri-County Country Club on Oct. 1, the site has been closed to the public. That will remain the case for the time being as the investigation for insurance purposes proceeds.

Daniel Rettig, Head Golf Professional and General Manager of Tri-County Country Club, stated that demolition of the clubhouse and repair of the backside of the Pro Shop damaged by the fire will proceed once the investigation is completed.

Rettig believes the club “will absolutely be open in 2024.” He noted that “temporary solutions” will be in place to provide an area for members and guests to relax after a round of golf.

“We enjoyed a great season up until this point,” Rettig stated. “The golf course itself will not suffer and golfers can continue to receive the same great conditions that they have come to expect over the years.”

According to Rettig, construction of a new clubhouse will commence “as soon as possible.”
