It’s a total interactive theatrical experience.

That’s how Angelo Valentino describes the Nightmare Castle at the Spire Theatre.

The Spire Theatre, located at 317 E. Third St., Jamestown is the oldest public assembly building in the city, Valentino said.

“If the walls could talk, they would have some secrets to tell,” co-event collaborator Valentino said.

Ylsa Maj, another co-collaborator said when guests come to the theatre, they will be greeted in the lobby where they will receive their tickets, told the rules, and some ghost stories, and shown a video to prepare them for a tour of frights.

“There will be some interactive storytelling of the characters that are haunting the Nightmare Castle,” Maj said. “The guests will hear the stories and get to explore the different rooms of the castle.”

Valentino said there are secret dungeons, tunnels, and passageways that are restricted, and will be off limits to guests. “But that doesn’t mean the ghosts from them (restricted areas) won’t emerge,” Valentino said.

Valentino said there will be spooky sounds that were created at the theatre, not a soundtrack of pre-recorded screams, growls, cackles and other Halloween sounds.

“What’s unique about this event is that it’s not a typical Halloween attraction, where you get startled. Because we have incorporated the storytelling, it’s kind of like a theatrical event with a moving audience,” Maj said.

Valentino said visitors will have the chance to explore the immersive and spine-tingling attractions spread across the Inspire Development Center, Odyssey Hall, Studio Metro, and The Spire Theater itself.

Odyssey Hall promises to be a heart-pounding adventure that will leave you breathless, Valentino said.

“The horror intensifies as you enter Studio Metro, where the lines between the living and the undead become indistinguishable. Beware of what lurks around every corner, as your journey delves deeper into the realm of the supernatural,” Valentino said.

The grand finale of the tour experience unfolds within the very heart of The Spire Theater, where, Valentino said, “your worst nightmares come to life in ways you never thought possible.”

“We want people to walk away from this with a chill going down their spine,” he said.

“It’s a psychological thrill,” co-collaborator Amanda Meleen added.

The castle will open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and then again Oct. 26, 27, and 28 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

“”Nightmare Castle is more than just a haunted attraction. It’s an immersive nightmare that will push the boundaries of your fear. We’ve worked tirelessly, creating an unparalleled horror experience that will linger in your nightmares long after you’ve left. It’s a must-see for anyone seeking the ultimate Halloween thrill,” Valentino said.

Tickets are available online and at the door. Students and first responders will receive a discount.

“We are donating a potion of the proceeds to the Falconer Volunteer Fire Department,” Maj said. For more information visit inspiretheatre.com
