County Auxiliary Announces Officers

The Chautauqua County American Legion Auxiliary recently met at the William L. Travis Post 493 in Mayville. Election of 2023-24 officers was held, followed by the installation ceremony conducted by past district auxiliary President Claudia Riley. Seated, from left, are President Evelyn Crick accepting the gavel from Outgoing President Dawn Ransom, newly elected Treasurer. In back are Audrey Miga, secretary; Lisa Sedlmayer, historian; Luanne VanOrd, first vice president; and Pat Hayward, Sgt. at Arms; Lucinda Simpson, chaplain. The group meets on the second Thursday of the month and is hosted by 11 alternating units throughout Chautauqua County. The next meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. on Sept. 14 at the John W.
