The weather wasn’t great on Earth Day, but some local volunteers made sure a planned community clean up still took place, just a little later in the year.

On Sunday, about 20 people with the FedEx Express Jamestown JHWA station gathered for the annual Earth Day clean up at McCrea Point Park. Friends and family joined in as well.

It was organized by Katy Champ and Shelly Carlson.

Carlson said this is their second year doing the clean-up. They worked in McCrea Point Park, Jones and Gifford Avenue and the skate park area.

“We probably collected about 10 bags of trash,” she said.

Starting at $3.50/week.
