Auditions For ‘Annie Jr.’ To Be Held At Little Theatre On May 20
Have you had dreams and aspirations of wanting to sing and dance in a musical?
If you have, then you may want to audtion for “Annie Jr.”
Lucille Ball Little Theatre of Jamestown President Holly Weston said “Annie Jr.” auditions will be held May 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the theatre, 18 E. Second St.
“If you are passionate about acting, singing, and dancing, then we want you to audition for our upcoming Jr. Guilders production of ‘Annie Jr.’ This is an incredible opportunity to showcase your talents, work with experienced directors and choreographers, and make lasting memories with your fellow cast members.We encourage all interested area youth ages 5-18 to audition, regardless of your level of experience,” Weston said.
According to the theatre’s website lbltj, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
¯ Each child will be asked to sing a portion of a song of their choosing (this does not need to be the full song or from “Annie Jr.” and can be as simple as singing “Happy Birthday.”
¯ Please bring printed sheet music, in the preferred key.
¯ An Accompanist will be provided.
¯ Please come dressed in comfortable clothes for the choreography portion of the auditions.

Jazz shoes preferred, but not required at this time. Please no flip flops, Crocs or sandals.
