Studio D Catering has officially opened its new location.
The catering business was previously located at 106 E. Second St. in Jamestown, but recently owner Diana Scott moved her business to Chautauqua County-Jamestown Airport. Studio D has now set up shop inside the airport at 3163 Airport Dr.
“When we were looking for a new location we thought of the airport, because we knew it had been empty for a long time,” Scott said in a recent interview. “I sent my proposal to the county and they accepted and we began the moving process.”
Studio D Catering offers both a catering business and 716 Boutique, which sells items from local artisans including handmade craft and food items. The business also has a venue space that can hold 45 to 50 people, a private deck and offers private parties and classes. They also cater for special events. Scott said they are currently working on a project to bring people to the airport during the summer, which she is looking forward to.
Normal hours for the business’s “grab and go” lunch service are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday through Sunday are the business’ catering days.

In the future, Scott hopes to be able to expand the business’ space; she said there is a possibility of expanding hours as well.
“I’m excited to grow,” Scott said. “We may change our hours as well, but we have to wait and see how the community responds. We hope to hire more as well. I’ve talked to people in the area and they are excited for another option for lunch.”
Studio D’s grab and go will also offer vegetarian and vegan options. Scott said that their food will be similar to what they used to offer in the food truck downtown and she hopes that some of the old customers will be willing to make the drive to the airport as well.
She also referred to the new space as a “beautiful setting.”
“Every day we learn something new about the airport,” Scott said. “Wonderful things happen up here. I’m happy the legislature approved my proposal and we are working hard to get our doors open so we can welcome the public.”
