A real estate investment company with corporate offices in Texas has purchased commercial property in Jamestown.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER has been analyzing real estate transactions in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the sales between June 1-15.

During that time there were 126 transactions, excluding sales for $1 or zero dollars. Of that total, 19 sales were $250,000 or higher, two of which involved limited liability corporations.

In one of the sales, Peden Place LLC of Stockton sold 1905 Washington St., Jamestown to JMI Properties LLC of Jamestown for $375,000. JMI Realty is the parent company of JMI Properties. It is a real estate investment and development company specializing in lodging and urban redevelopment. According to the company website, JMI Realty currently manages a real estate investment portfolio valued at approximately $800 million and has sold approximately $550 million of land, office, hotel and multifamily investments. The company’s corporate headquarters are in Austin, Texas and has offices in San Diego.

In a separate company sale, Fairmount Professional Building LLC of Lakewood sold 133 Fairmount Ave., Lakewood to BPT Holdings, LLC of Jamestown for $500,000. This appears to be the location of Southern Tier Family Dentistry.

Of the remaining 17 sales $250,000 or higher, four were in the village of Lakewood, three were in the town of Mina, two were in the village of Bemus Point, one was in the village of Fredonia, and the towns of Chautauqua, Ellicott, Clymer, North Harmony, Cherry Creek, Hanover, and Westfield each had one sale.
